International Freedom Festival
The International Freedom Festival program includes small theatres from countries where there are serious problems with freedom of speech and where in recent years theatre makers have been exposed to censorship that restricts creative activity. The festival is held in a symbolic place: the city of Narva on the border of European Union and the Russian Federation. The festival’s visual identity is based on a powerful allegory regarding the relationship between freedom of expression and power.
